Kindness is a fundamental virtue in humans path to ascendence; both in their individual and in their collective consciousness. "Bani Adam" is a verse from a poem by the 13th century poet Saadi which describes human beings as parts of one body. It summons the reader to consider the interconnectedness of human beings and reminds us that human beings, despite their differences, are of one essence. Because of this, what afflicts one group invariably impacts the other members of the whole. It is a call for unity and a call for kind and compassionate treatment of each other.
With Siah Mashgh (black rehearsal), I intend to imprint this in our hearts and minds; stroke by stroke and with space for the words to float in.
